Our mission is rooted in a simple calling: to love and serve our neighbors. When our community faces hardship, we believe faith calls us to respond.
── ROOTED IN FAITH
Prayer is woven into everyday life.
The children attend Mass, celebrate the sacraments, participate in church activities, sing, play instruments and grow within a community that reminds them they are deeply loved by God.
Relationships with Catholic parishes and faith communities bring people together across countries through service, generosity, prayer and friendship.

── A PLACE OF REFUGE
When severe weather comes, we open our doors.
During storms and natural disasters, the school and orphanage have become places of refuge. Families have arrived with their children seeking a safe place to sleep and shelter from dangerous conditions.
In those moments, we share whatever space and resources we have.
── SUPPORTING THOSE WHO TEACH
Change is strongest when it grows from within.
Through collaboration with Groupe Jeune de Trou-Bois and local initiatives supported through CassieHaiti.com, local young people are encouraged to serve their neighbors, develop leadership skills and become responsible community members.
These young people are local collaborators—not an HCO-owned program—and partners in caring for Trou-Bois today and tomorrow.
We are not only responding to today’s needs. We are helping nurture tomorrow’s community leaders.
